Dr. Ruby C. Freire is an educator with over 25 years of experience in the field of education. She holds a Doctorate of Education in Reading  Education from Nova Southeastern University, a degree that represents the culmination of her lifelong passion for helping students become confident and proficient readers. Dr. Freire also possesses a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from the American College of Education and a Master of Science in Public Administration from Barry University. Driven by a deep commitment to literacy, Dr. Freire has dedicated her career to supporting struggling readers and fostering a love for reading in all students. She believes that reading is not just a fundamental skill but a gateway to lifelong learning and personal growth. Her philosophy centers on the idea that every child has the potential to become a successful reader, and it is the educator's role to unlock this potential through patience, innovative teaching strategies, and personalized support. Throughout her career, Dr. Freire has received numerous accolades, including being a 2021-2022 District semi-finalist for Teacher of the Year in Broward County Public Schools and Teacher of the Year at Coconut Palm Elementary School, as well as 2022-2023 Social Studies Teacher of the Year for Coconut Palm Elementary. Through her work, Dr. Ruby C. Freire continues to inspire a shared commitment to education and the joy of reading among students, parents, and colleagues alike.

Dr. Gladys Vega is an experienced literacy leader passionate about enhancing literacy outcomes statewide. Holding a Doctor of Education in Reading Education, Dr. Vega is dedicated to sharing her extensive expertise in literacy coaching, evidence-based practices, and professional development. With over two decades of experience in the education field at the elementary and secondary levels, Dr. Vega has significantly contributed to literacy education at the school, district, and state levels in her role as a State Regional Literacy Director. She has led professional development initiatives, supported schools with the most significant reading achievement gaps, and trained literacy leadership teams in the science of reading. As an award-winning literacy coach, she implemented evidence-based practices that dramatically improved reading achievement and created literacy initiatives that enhanced school performance. Her accolades include being named the 2018-2019 District Literacy Coach of the Year for Secondary Learning, and she has been a key participant in various state and district-level literacy programs and literacy coaching endorsements. Dr. Gladys Vega is the current President of the Florida Literacy Association.
